Practitioner Highlight: Colleen, Our Nail Technician Extraordinaire!

I have been working as a nail technician for nearly ten years now and have always been interested in the beauty and fashion industries. I was drawn to Zenana Spa because of the Spa’s philosophy and relaxing environment. My co-workers are wonderful and I really enjoy spending time with them.  I liked Zenana Spa because they specialize in natural products and they don’t do artificial nails. I enjoy the interaction with my clients. My goals when working with my clients would be for them to feel pleased with their services, less stressed and proud to show off their new manicure or pedicure. One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is giving an incredible foot and leg massage. I often get compliments from clients as to how they enjoyed that part of the service.

I spend my time off with friends and my pets. I have my wonderful dog, Woz, and two cats Hermes and Cozette. I have been taking jewelry-making classes and love to work with metals and beads. Originally from Portland, I grew up across the way in Vancouver, WA.  A little known fact about me: I lived in San Francisco for a while and worked for the Wall Street Journal! I also worked in Credit Unions for a few years before going to beauty school. I love to travel and have been all around the western United States, New York, Florida and overseas to Ireland.
